DREAM DREAM DREAM

DREAM  DREAM  DREAM

'Only trouble is - gee wiz, I'm dreaming my life away,'
grab the moment, this is it, now prove, make me sway,
make me envious that you got out there, went to the moon,
on your return, I hear a distant flute playing a nice tune.

Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea, come with me,
to distant lands, I need your love, together we will be;
it was real, I was out there and here comes the sun,
what were those blue patches, swimming pools, what fun.

But this was real, not conjured nonsense, it was done,
it was to be carried with me forever, prize was won,
could not be returned, always grinning in my cabinet,
when I sipped my drink, somehow I never got my lips wet.

Wake up boy, write one hundred lines, get to the back of the class,
tell me your dreams, wonderful things that will come to pass.
