DREAM LOVER

His eyes shone like diamonds like distant stars, in a far off galaxy
his bronzed muscled physique Wow! no eyesore just moreish delectability
His hands as big as shovels strong masculine, weather worn from toil
every inch of this perfect specimen of a man, I imagined id enjoy

 
So I teased I flirted showered him with glory, his ego I inflated
He teased tickled and touched sensually, of course I felt excited
Fifteen years my junior but he made me feel like a queen
there was no divide between us, the chemistry crazy, surreal 

Yet in time things changed with us, not from his side I may add 
I know he wanted children and I no longer could, and for that I felt bad 
I was just forty five but the change of life for me had come  early
I could not deprive him of a child that was his own, a real family

I also thought in years to come the age gap would show,id look like his mother
I really did nt want that to happen, so I ended it with him, my dream lover
I was heartbroken he told me he did,nt mind if we could nt have a child 
he said he wanted to be with me whatever,and it tore me apart inside

After months he called me, and asked could we please be just friends
I said yes, but nothing else would ever happen, so we made amends 
We are still friends to this day, he is married now with a family of his own
I am happy, my decision was right.he has now sown his seeds and his garden has grown

I will always have fond memories, he was a real dream come true
but with age comes common sense,and for me now, just friends will do
