Dreamer
Softly rocking gently through the world,
So full of hope it hurts
brimming on the brinkΒ
rising dome of imagination
above the glass.Β
Shivering sense of reality
endless possibilities
ceaseless potential.
Star-filled gaze tipped up
gleaming pools filled
with skies, highsΒ
and hopes.
To fly.

Far away, A shattered mirror,
Haunting my waking dreams,
I find within it emptiness,
A dark so bright it gleams,
Silver in its right design,
Filigree of gold so fine,
Yet in it I see only fire,
Fire for what I've done,
Ice for what's to come,
Light for those chosen few,
And yet darkness for some.
A broken mirror,
Lens on high,
For ye dreamers,
Look not to the sky,
But within your dreams...
A wonderful line... truly captivating in its imagery. I really enjoyed this poem!
