Dreams

I lie there hoping to fall asleep,

So I can finally have you in my arms.

I wish it were reality, the way you love me.

But for now I will lie here wishing.

Your feelings exist only in my dreams,

I escape the truth that you will never be mine,

I begin to wonder off and think of only you.

The way you move,

The way you feel.

Your eyes are shimmering without any light.

It all feels so real until I awake,

You are no longer mine so I must face the reality,

And leave it all behind.

I go on living life watching you walk by,

Waiting until I sleep to live my separate life.

Good write, I enjoyed it.

I wish it were reality, the way you love me.

But for now I will lie here wishing.

Your feelings exist only in my dreams,

I escape the truth that you will never be mine,
