Dreams

Fantasies all slip away,
When the night turns into day.
Forgetfulness leaves emptiness
Where memories used to be,
And it seems that any dream can slip away from me.
On dreams, humans should never dwell
And nightmares just make us unwell.
Focus on the parts that are joyful and nice,
Dreams should be made of sugar, not spice.
But although good dreams can make you yearn
For a better life, you need to move on and learn.
Use the good and sort out the bad
so that you won't be feeling as sad.
So enjoy them while they’re cast,
Because they won’t forever last
Dreams can be crazy and wild,
Letting out your inner child.
A parade with people blowing horns,
And fairies riding unicorns!
Dreams can let your mind run free,
Imagination is the key
Some people say “may your dreams come true”
But I hope that doesn’t happen to you!
Because not all dreams have happy endings,
Some can turn with twists and bendings.
Like a bubble they’re hard to clasp,
And soon your dreams will be hard to grasp,
In the fingers of your mind.
For they will be left behind.
