Dreams in Nightmares

I just can’t sleep
My eyes want to close
My mind still ticks
Over all the things it knows
Still feeling sleepy
Getting over highs & lows
No matter how hard I try
This nightmare never goes
Just one of a kind
Dreams of devils
Knock me blind
Rattling bones
Still we cannot find
Lost souls swimming deep
Stuck in the imagination like a sign
The roads seem long
Hills seem steep
Dream in nightmares
Still can’t sleep
Dreams are nightmares
Down on underground creek
Witch’s fly
Whilst children weep
Don’t need nightmares
Just the dreams we seek
To rise to the surface
Back from the deep
