DREAMS OF LOVE

My eyes dance about your face,
a sacred dance,
your eyes are the only home I have known,
when our eyes meet I feel complete.
My hope lives in your promise,
you liberate my captive heart,
my fears were my prison.
I grow as a satellite to wonder,
thinking of all possibilities,
the fever's pitch grows in my wresting fate,
trying to win what I don't deserve,
except in virtue of the effort to transcend indeed,
my effort in deed.
I have a place where I know dreams go,
and I search for their legacies,
hidden in the aether,
hidden from me for so many years.
A man is a husk a shell without dreams
and one's fear is a dangerous thing,
However, we all know love,
love, that emancipator of purpose,
has brought me to you,
and I stand at this precipice,
and hold in an empty frame
edges cascading in a soft light,
hovering above your head melding portraits of infinite possibility.
Wielding necessity,
a happenstance of the semblance of love,
embodied by the culmination,
of fruition becoming fullness,
to wrestle years of apathy from aimlessness.
We find the place defined by the deepest sleep,
harbouring secret uncertainty's role in my misery,
to win back my shine,Β
from newfound dreams of love.
