Drifting Into Night

Drifting Into Night

Shining brightly in the distance,
   that glowing orb of white
It fades and blooms like a fresh cut rose,
    beauty of our sight
Stars surround it
        glowing round
Light the sky, a softer day.
A breeze comes blowing through the trees,
    rustling,    softly,
                all their leaves.
Eyes gleam out from bushes close
   flashing pink,  tasting air
    Offer it those elderberries,
        staining hand, staining tongue.
Melt into the silence
        the dusky calm
Float with that beauty soft light
    become One
fly till the hush of Dawn.

Float with that beauty soft light
