Poem -

Drink another glass for me

With a promise made.
By a four year old.
To sell lemonade.
The story to unfold.

Struggling herself to overcome.
The battle  she began.
As her body was weak and numb.
Family listened to her plan.

With her own cancer to fight.
Other children are sick.
She opened our eyes to the light.
With lemonade childhood cancer to kick.

A young child could see.
From her troubled life.
A better world to be.
One of less strife.

You fought hard in year four.
But as year eight did arrive.
We saw you go through heavens door.
A battle you did not survive.

Alex your wings are mighty.
And your halo bright.
An angel to society.
We stand and fight.

Your family still wages the war.
All within your name.
Gods chosen choir.
With victory one day to claim.

To stand that tall.
The world did see.
We fight something small.
For children to be cancer free.

Dedicated to Alex and family.
