Poem -

Lifted spirits

To lift someone up.
To encourage them to stand.
To fill their cup.
With hope and a helping hand.

You never know when you will be asked.
To step into another's life.
And pull off their mask.
Of their life's trials and strife.

How will you give them strength they never knew.
To face an unthinkable stage.
And help them to remain true.
At such a young age.

Last night I was put to this test.
When a dying girl ask me why.
I answered to my best.
As I broke down and began to cry.

She thought it was selfish to ask why her.
As tears filled my eyes in pain.
I had to show her how much God cared.
And how her pain is only a means to gain.

This was my answer to that dying girl.
God needed a new angel of pure love.
Only way he could achieve this was to put her on earth within life's swirl.
To grow the love through trials and tribulations to be multiplied when she arrives above.

Love, faith and hope is powerful to all.
Help others, remind them of their soul.
Allow them to stand tall.
These are the seeds we should sow.

To look down on.
Is only helping to defeat.
Remember a soul is never gone.
As you face the people you meet.
