Humanity torn
Our children are now depressed.
In a digital world life is more recessed.
Taking lonely to a new level.
Forcing a even younger generation to revel.
To many times we read.
Of suicides sinful deed.
Tired of feeling left out.
No one listens as our children shout.
Human interaction is a thing of past.
But without it look what shadows have cast.
As a lonely depressed wold falls.
When we don't answer our children's call.
Your children see nothing but pain.
And family an friends look down in shame.
Happiness was what rejection cost.
When a peaceful soul thinks all is lost.
We have reached a personal low.
When your smile is just for show.
Allowing the darkness and pain to grow.
Covering a once benevolent soul.
Surrounded by people and still alone.
Even in your house it never feels like home.
Constantly questioning every choice.
And wondering why no one hears the screaming of their voice.
Where did life turn so wrong.
Now waiting to die seems to long.
No more trying to hide.
The thoughts of your suicide.
With each technological progress.
The human touch becomes less.
This has cost many teens.
In a world of being seen.
Seeing thousands online.
But unplug and you may find.
No one is around.
To listen to your sound.
As a teen in I witnessed.
The birth of the web that promised.
And easy way to connect.
But now in reality it only rejects.
The human condition.
A touch,taste and smell tradition.
Has lost to wifi.
Unplug an listen to a souls cry.
For the fuel it desires.
To start personal fires.
In each human heart.
To set the individual apart.
From the billions connected.
Much more than was ever projected.
When Internet was born.
Humanity became torn.

I absolutely love this poem! I love being able to relate to it and how it is so true for today. You did a great job expressing what internet and technology have done to society. The rhymes you have in here are wonderful as well.
So true... thank you so much for sharing!
