Drink myself away

A bottle of wine and a broken heart.

A deadly combination.

Cigarette smoke and angry tears.

What the hell am I thinking?

'Reason' in one hand..a cell phone in the other,

& without hesitation I'm dialing your number.

But . . .

I didn't have the nerve to call cause I knew just what you'd say.

So I simply sat the phone down, and drank myself away.
