Driving Through the Snow

Each snowflake hits against my window

Melting against the warmth it finds inside

I watch as the water drips down the edge

As my windshield wiper swipes it to the left or the right

I imagine each separate flake

As a piece of gentle art

As I watch the snow accumulate around me

I see where every tire has been

With the endless prints in front of me

The whole world covered in white

Each moving body can be seen

Through the slanted wind surrounding

I see the frost on every neighbor speeding past

Like frozen blocks of running ice

While I stay warm and comforted
