I am my own worst nightmare
Flip a switch and suddenly don't care
I can self destruct without drink or drugs
I'm addicted to physical kisses and hugs
It may seem like what's so bad about affection
Surely we all just crave that kind of connection
But if the pull to take the drug leads you astray
So you cheat and lie and take yourself away
From who you finally found you can be
It's as dangerous as any drug to you and me
