Drunk On Starlight

Night Of Perfection

Drunk On Starlight

I stepped out;
Of the backseat, hit the parking lot.
There was a door,
And glitter raining on the floor.
I stepped inside,
Couldn't believe what I saw with my eyes.
Could it be,
Something intriguing,
Something,

In awe,
Beauty,
Wonder,
Tasteful,
Perfection.

I saw you,
resonating through my champagne glass.
You looked over,
I hid my view and looked away fast.
Then you winked at me,
My heart was stolen at last.

This night has,
been the been the best night of my life.
I'm glad that,
Him and I met and we managed to connect.
This night was stolen,
By dreams of fantasies and ball gowns,
For one night, the world was mine to own.
I get back into my grandmother's car,
she looks at me, says I smell like a bar.
This perfect night,
Was crashed by Miss Kari, drunk on starlight.
