Dying To Live

How does it feel to live
Is it everything I dreamed
Lovely days of sun rays
And soft nights that gleam
I vision life as a movie
Mine's more behind the scenes
Dark days and darker nights
Everything is more obscene
I know we all must die
It's just life and death
But I've lived everyday
Like I've already left
It's not that I'm ungrateful
Because surely I am blessed
I'm used to the trails
It's the tribulations I detest
God I wanna live
I've never felt that freedom
Except when I dream
It's the closest thing to Eden
Dark days don't last forever
They say everyone has their season
But the darkness has consumed me
And I've made peace with my demons
