Dystopia
Peace On Earth

My childhood scars seemingly reappear
They are more relevant, stark and clear
Ages of finite atmosphere
Become eternal as the cosmic realm
The skin on my palm is cellophane
Feeling the roughness of dying pain
It's in the air as I live in vain
Disorders overwhelm
Caught in a midnight sun, does it burn
Smokes out the emotions that churn
See inside me like an urn
Maybe there is something of worth
In dystopia I will walk to the sun
Shining brighter as I run
My mind, my heart and my soul are one
I will see peace on this earth

A sombre read indeed. Beautifully wordedÂ
such imagery weighed with sadness.Â

Hey Tony! Thank you for your feedback as always! I'm not on the site very much now. Things have been pretty busy, with work and other things going on, even with the lockdowns and social distancing. Dystopia is about finding yourself in such uncertain times and then acting on it. To go on despite all the turmoil and madness going on.Â
Peace, brother poet! Have a great day and stay safe.
