Each Night

Purple hues blend into melancholy a distinct sadness pervades
So much has been left in the past
So many memories not viewed
The evening, the vision of a dying day
It precedes darkness and celebrates day's end
With the sounds of people turning into the charms of home
Meals made, children bathed, young lovers meeting and old married ones enjoying
The calm before the storm
The world would be great if one could preserve it as recalled
If the future didn't bring inevitable change
Parents die, children grow, love is tested and tried
Faith weaves a line of security as it keeps love alive
The more adversity we survive and continue on with life
The more precious each and every day becomes and so celebrate each night.
