Poem -

Earth

How old am I?
Can you tell me by looking towards the sky?
Can you tell by ripping me apart?
Do you wonder if I too have a heart?
Listen if you dare,
Listen to my cries for they are there.
The birds whisper my song
And the trees sing along.
The flowers still bloom,
But I wonder if my end is coming soon.
You promised to take care of me, long ago,
Have you forgotten or is this not so?
You are burning my soul,
With your hatered don't you know?
You beat upon my breast,
With your wars giving it no rest.
I feed you with the oceans and land,
But yet you keep fighting, I don't understand.
You drill into my veins;
Explode me with dinamite like you're insane.
You pour innocent blood into my womb,
Letting evil and greed your heart consume.
You fight for a piece of me
Not wanting to share with all humanity.
You say I'm yours and another says the same.
You kill each other then both of you flow through my veins;
 And so you pass it on to your children with pride,
 Destroying each other, committing suicide.
For I am tired of this, what about you?
You were created for me and I for you!
For every living creature I was given birth,
For you to fill your godly destiny while upon this earth.
And I am your world for all to share,
White, black, yellow or brown, I don't care.
I will roar and shake, scream and cry like never before,
And hopefully you'll listen and the wars will be no more.
Listen to me, listen if you dare,
Listen to my cries for they are there....
