Earth Angel

You are the closest thing to an angel that I have seen with my own eyes
You have filled my life with unconditional love, with your heart of abnormal size
Always there for me any time I ever needed you
For no other reasons than you love me and wanted to
Always supported my decisions shown me that you care
And your only criticism was to be respectful and not swear
I'll never be able to show you what you mean to me, but maybe these words will shine
And carefuly remind you that I've loved you this whole time
As you turn eighty I want you to know 
That part of why I'm a good man is because you let your light show
Grandma your my earth angel and I wish I could be where you are
Just to let you know how much of a shining star, you are
Hopefully this lifts your spirits like wind under your wings
And remind you when I think of you it makes my heart sing
