Three Wishes Granted
For centuries I wandered, granting wishes far and wide,
A genie bound by duty, with dreams I had to hide.
I watched as joy unfolded, in others’ lives so bright,
Yet my own heart remained a void, in the endless night.
A wish was softly whispered, in the stillness of the air,
For a son to bring laughter, a love beyond compare.
On August 2nd, 2008, a miracle took place,
A boy with eyes like starlight, a smile to light my face.
Years passed like fleeting shadows, another wish took flight,
For a second son to join us, to fill our hearts with light.
December 30th, 2018, he came with boundless glee,
A spark of joy, a beacon bright, a part of me set free.
Tomorrow’s dawn brings promise, a third wish in the breeze,
A daughter to complete us, to bring my heart to ease.
October 4th, 2024, she’ll grace us with her glow,
A dream fulfilled, a family whole, a love that overflows.
Three wishes granted, not for others, but for me,
In their laughter and their tears, my heart’s true destiny.
In every moment shared, in every tender kiss,
I find my greatest treasures, in this newfound bliss.
