Eclipsed

"Who are you anymore?"
"I don't know. I only remember someone telling me I was a star to shine in the dark"
"You're not the same girl I remember, you always brightened the world"
" I was eclipsed by another, she took him away, her smile brighter than mine, her body better. A star can only shine in the dark."
"Don't be dramatic"
So I was silent. He never knew how close I was to letting it all go. He never knew the words that didnt fall from my lips, only the words he wanted to believe.
"You became the darkness we so feared"
I stayed silent. Contemplating if it would hurt
"Answer me God dammit!"
His screams fell upon my deaf ears. My mind was set.
"Wait, where are you going?"
Fear and panic overtook his voice.
I stepped backwards
One step
Two step
One more step and we'll see how well I fly without my wings. Will I soar into heaven? Or fall down to hell?
