Edward Teach Aka Blackbeard

His story was told so long ,long ago 

Many misconceptions of his life were told 

A mischievous cutthroat man who lacked moral convictions

Was fearsome to all his foe with evil intent 

Setting sail over the ocean blue with his crew ,there is nothing they would not do

Robbing ships regularly was one type of his sins besides,women and gin 

Blockaded Charleston to get a hefty bounty full of gems ,money , and loot to boot 

Departing the port he marooned part of his crew left them stranded on a island ,he was selfish too 

Accepting a royal pardon not long after that ,took a break in bath which momentarily stopped his piracy ways 

This alas did not last long of course,he left town to plot another dastardy mission 

With the queen's Ann revenge full of fourty guns wanting to blow the next ship to water below 

Fearsome he was dressed in red so blood would not show for the enemy to see 

Lieutenant Maynard was comissioned to bring the mighty pirate dead or alive to his knees

Finding Teach's ship now a mighty battle did ensue 

Fighting to end with his men by his side ,he gave it his all with his last breath in his lungs 

He took five gunshots wounds ,twenty swords cuts just to him down in the prime of his life 

At the end of the day his head was cut and body tossed over board 

His head was raised high for all to see to warn pirates this was the end of an Era 

To tell others piracy was now a dying breed
