Egyptian Diva from the Twentieth Century

Egyptian Diva from the Twentieth Century

Buy this, buy that, I think I need another hat

What's one more purse going to hurt, I love that patent shine

Two hundred pair of shoes, who cares, is that really a crime

Can't take it with me, or can I? I'll just think like an Egyptian would

I'll get a solid gold ten room tomb, I should have plenty of room

I could almost bring everything, my cats of course, I'll put them in diamond collars

They'll guard my jewels, clothes, and all my pearls

Can't help myself, I've always been a material woman with curls

Writing a check, what the heck, hundreds, maybe thousands of dollars

Straight out of the Nile, I'm sure I'll fit in, dressed with a silk scarf, like a queen

A wax, a manicure, pedicure, the works, high class make-up, no cheap stuff for me

Because I'm an Egyptian Diva, a material woman from the Twentieth Century!
