Emotional Blackmail

Would you like me to write about love or gender powers?
be realistic, we've really exhausted  the beauty of flowers;
Let's get to it - do we have to say 'yes' to everything?
No - in the current climate we're equal when having a ring.

Some won't give up, they're really like a dog with a bone,
you feel like no place to hide, they've sent over a drone;
I'll do anything for you, just to keep that calm, a bit of peace,
the thing is, which piece are we keeping, wonders never cease.

Now, those gender powers, which has the hammer or high voice,
how often we've been told that it was really just your choice;
same scenario I suppose, but I'm guessing, I'm not one of 'those,'
you wonder, when in this day and age - just about anything goes.

'If you love her, you'll go after her' - but why not 'how about a' him'?
I don't have to tell you - whatever we do, you're never going to win!
