Poem -

The End of the Day

I close my door

I close my mind

A wine I pour

As I unwind

I draw the blind

I draw a bath

I draw a line

On the past

Hence as I planned

At the start of today

A glass in hand

In my bath I lay

Candles glowing

Water flowing

Bubbles blowing

My heartbeat slowing

And as I relax

Melts the wax

Time slows

And doesn’t keep track

And as I stray

Into a dream-like state

My hand gives way

And my glass breaks

Breaking my dream

As I awake

As everything seems

A mile away
