The Matrix

WE ARE all living in, ‘Fantasy Land’

Alice's Adventures in, ‘Wonderland’

Literary nonsense, an expensive pretence

Enforcing a dream, at all our expense

For IT IS in the, ‘Matrix’ we all live

Ignoring reality, without misgive

Blinkered, we race through our own time

Most choosing a life, impossibly sublime

Maybe I’m a cynic

Bitter lessons from the past

Or just maybe a futuristic

Who wants the past recast

To mould a future

In which EVERYONE can live

A life we can all nurture

And we can all forgive

Sense & Sensibility

Was fine for the past

But with all due civility

And knowledge we’ve amassed

It’s time for tranquillity

And not to lambast

Tradition, honour, discipline and excellence

Dead poets society

Says it best

‘For I want you to examine your lives

And not follow them blindly’

Human beings

Supposedly, ‘The Enlightened Ones’

It’s time we began agreeing

For the sake of our sons

For if we keep up this stance

At the bully’s behest

We stand no chance

Of surviving our quest

Our quest, our chance

To free up this life

Of warring factions

Who want nothing but strife
