End of The Road

End of The Road

I am used to walking this road all alone,
my footsteps nimbly avoidingĀ  each stone,
designed now to catch me, perhaps make me fall
I think Iā€™mĀ  the most skilful walker of all

I swim in unfathonableĀ  depths in the sea
the waves of mistrust always pulling at me,
butĀ  I have a life belt Iā€™m hanging on tight
Iā€™m swimming with dolphins so Iā€™ll be alright

Each day is a mountain that I have to climb,
theĀ  peaks are much higher and I have less time,
butĀ  my friends are the crampons that power me through,
the summit Iā€™m reaching to share it with you

Lifes journey is hard and not always a breeze.
Some people are lucky and live it with ease.
The others, like me, take a road less well used
and travel through life feeling battered and bruised

But never give in if you look you will see
are sign posts, obscured behind overgrown trees.
They point out the way, though terrain may be rough
andĀ  your senses alert you that this might be tough

But tackle that road, you can walk, climb or swim.
JustĀ  push through each obstacle and get stuck in.
The line at the end is the winning post goal
andĀ  when you get there youā€™ll have refoundĀ  your soul.

Stamina, and resolve to further the cause of replenishment, through understanding, of broad " brush-strokes " of living. By, whatever means or code, in whatever condition or conditions.Ā
In stark truth, is freedom, and, power to impress upon all the INFLUENCE of hope, as well as spirited self-appraisal, through learning more than conceived possible, TO GIVE.
TO BE. EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE.
" Amazing Grace " to this. And, respectful tribute.
To the heart, and soul.
THANKS, FOR, THIS.

Loki!Ā
Grammy. That was gorgeous! I haven't been on much because I've been as sick as a dog(and an ailing dog! Not one of those healthy ones!), but I saw your wonderful presence, and smile, and thought I must read her wonderful words! And I did so, and I was moved(not moved in a sense of going to the...oh forget it!), but moved by the wonderful writing, and the strength, and beauty of my Grammy.Ā
Wonderful write, my friend! (I hope that made sense, because I'm semi-delerious from my 125 degree fever).Ā
You're great!Ā
Hugs,Ā
Matthew.Ā

Darling MattyĀ  you are not allowed to be ill!!! and as you are then I hope someone has been feeding you chicken soup..or better still hot chocolate with caramel and marshmallows and frequently sponging your fevered brow with a tepid cloth!!! I feel honoured thatĀ  despite your debilitatingĀ  malaiseĀ  you read and wrote such lovely words about my offering..I truly appreciate that at any time ..but more so when you are not your usual self. NowĀ  you get well soon my honorary and sending you big healing grammy hugs Ā  Ā  Ā Ā  (( hugs)) xxx

Oh, thank you Grammy! I feel better already(I've been taken off the deceased list, and listed as veggie, now), so thank you! I've never gotten a flu shot, but I think next year I may start! I hope you are well, and I mean what I say to you. I really, really enjoy wonderful people like yourself, and I love your writing.Ā
OK, I have to go have my head explode, but I'll be back!Ā
Thanks for the kind wishes, Grammy!Ā
Hug-a-roo!Ā
