Esmeralda

Esmeralda

O' holy rites we forsake
Burn, burn her at a stake
Break her, an opulent plan
But she shallΒ bow to no man

Poetic beauty craved
His intentions depraved
Bishop of high propriety
Well admired in society

Untouchable she, his vise
Her death was a sacrifice.
Demanded one indiscretion
It had become his obsession

A heart belongsΒ to another
She denied discloser of a lover
Flesh sizzled flames extreme
But in agony, refused to scream
