EUTHANASIA
I went to Switzerland ready for euthanasia,
a terminal end was not wanted, a bit peculiar,
because no wants your life to end this way,
but it has to be better than suffering so they say.
I thought of my life, the wonderful times I'd had,
tried still to be positive, didn't really want to be sad;
what would you do - just struggle on with the pain?
or look forward to the time when you might come again.
They led me to a small room, I'd paid ten grand,
there was a little table, said you could sit or stand,
placed a tiny glass alongside me, ready for my use,
I knew that it would be more lethal than orange juice.
The swiss mountains looked beautiful outside the room,
I stood up, pushed glass to one side, enough doom and gloom.
