I remember her

she was my elementary school "wishful" sweetheart.

she wasn't in on it

she had no idea

she was the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world
 

It's been decades

and although almost every single remembrance of her is gone

I hold on to this one thing that I will never forget

She had this squint, the center of her beauty. 

Some might have called it an imperfection
