Everything Blue
The blood in my vains was once red Im sure
I know that must be true
But I can not clearly recall what color was like
Before the moment that I met you
The sky shows beautiful colors
Pink and yellow and red
But where others see beautiful blues
I only see dull grays, the color of led
Im sure my heart is nothing special
Inside we should all be the same
But if someone looked I know theyd see
A peculiar color along with your name
The ocean was once a brilliant blue
Im really very sure that has to be right
But now it seems to have darkened
To the shade of tin roofs at night
My body now bleeds an odd shade
And its staind me all the way through
The universe offers no equal to its beauty
Now that my soul is Everything Blue

Great poem Twilla. The lines
really stuck out to me. Great simile.
This poem kinda reminded me of the book/film called Candy. The female character goes insane at one point and covers the walls with writing saying...BLUE over and over. It's not a film for the faint hearted though. ItΒ features the late Heath ledger.
Keep up the good work - Syd xoΒ
Oh, I have never been faint of heart. I May have to look into that.
It's a good book/film. The book's much better though and it's about heroin addicts.Β
Just thought I'd give you the heads up first.

Well, its hard to disturbe me, but I dont know if I can handle another "requrium for a dream" induced depression... I saw enough first hand growing up and dont need any reminders. Reality is usually what Im trying to get away from in a good story. But I will give it a glance and see. Thank you. ?
