Evidential beauty

In sight of the past crimes,
Lies the answers to our actions mimed.
In sight of our lifestyles,
Lies the quests we took to grasp our identities, in photo frames called our memory piles.
The mirror holds what the eyes are blinded to see;
The details reflects what society distorts as the misery of obesity.
We constantly criticising individuality,
by observing and applying all kinds of appearances until we find the reflection that fits our fantasy.
By nature, we are programmed to compare ourselves, whilst finding our way.
We are walking reflections of our lifestyles.
This includes : Actions, habits, lessons, knowledge, failure and resilience puzzled in fragile tiles.
It was said that only God knows the materials he used to transgress the imperfections into beauty.
But we continuously analyze the imperfections of beauty through magnifying glasses- a perfectionistic tease.
Does beauty have no flaws ?
Does beauty hold no doors through which perfection tours?
Is the concept of beauty the details we misunderstood?
Or are we on too high pedestals, busy viewing our desires of beauty, depending on social judgements or our moods?
My individuality is refined as an observer created with artistic traits,
Abstract but scripted in paintings or poetic escapes.
Abstraction and Simplicity has no deviant,
It is only the critiques voiced by the admired.
The painter of all reason, referred to wisdom preachers- the experienced teachers.
Our individual accomplishments are difficult to identify,
The negative institution of those with persuasive reason limits our resilence as life lessons quantifies.
Confusion becomes transparent in our actions and reasoning,
because we are tourists in our lives, we follow maps to reach our destinations throughout the seasons.
Beauty holds no perfection,
Holds no deception,
Holds no rejection,
Holds no images of imperfections,
Needs no money for validations.
It is the admiration voiced by those observers who paint beauty without flaws,
This holds doors for transformation of beauty desired and admired.
Beauty speaks tongues of individuality,
Acknowledging traits satisfies the mind like a fulfilling sandwich.
Beauty results in a thankful language of smiles.

Hey, Carinne Petersen welcome, I really enjoyed reading this in depth layered approach you take to beauty, you write with pulling intelligence, and I'm glad I read this very educational and most excellent poem....just one clarification, with your permission....I'm not understanding the pull quote below to be honest;
'...biblically speaking, Adam and Eve analysed the imperfections of beauty through sin perceived.'
and again, welcome, I will be reading more of your good work, hope you enjoy the site....cheers, Carinne Petersen
Good day Christopher,
Thank you for appreciating my poem. I'm glad you asked for clarification, I will simplify it. Think I become too technical at times.
Let me know whether you understand it after I edit it.
I like your style, Carinne, and I like both versions of the poem as well, just saying..... you took out the Adam and Ever reference for which I wanted clarification, but maybe it was a distraction for the overall flow and content of the write, good for you to have the willingness to edit, a lot of poets consider editing taboo, it does take bravery and confidence and the belief that you are growing and learning as an artist, by being part of a community, to edit your own work....this poem is really good, my friend, quite powerful, superb content....cheers
Good day Christopher. Thank you for your thoughts . I appreciate your opinion and for the compliment. I belief any person can growth from one another even if they are criticism, clarifications or input.
As for the Adam and Eve quote. The quote was an emphasis on a biblical reference on how man was created. Through sin, false judgements, or guilt; we are often driven by things we shouldn't do whether its to test boundaries, jealousy or for adrenaline. Adam and Eve was created as naked beings (beautiful and perfect to Gods eye) after they ate the forbidden fruit, their sinful acts were judged by God when they covered up their body parts due to their sinful acts. Their perceptions of what God created as beautiful, man/ origins of humanity was perceived as an imperfection due to their sins, thus emphasizing their guilt, judgements or jealousy of humanity. This seems technical but I realized religion and beliefs may differ whereby some people's reference to beauty should be individualistic to their experience. That's why I changed the biblical reference for a universal context.
Carinne,
Very good job. This was very insightful and full of intellectual depth. I appreciated this very much.

Hi Denny,
Thank you for the compliment. Means a lot.
Carinne, ek is jammer om nou in Afrikaans kommentaar te lewer, maar ek sit die afgelope 6 maande in Dubai, en ek is self van die Kaap af, en ek mis my huis en my land regtig baie...so vergewe my asseblief, ek kon myself nie help nie.. Jy skryf iets wonderliks, Carinne. :)
By the way, love the pic of Table Mountain. Almost brings a tear to my eye to see the raw beauty in the place that gave us life. Once again, Carinne, brilliant work, and keep it coming.
Dankie Jaime.
