The ex-wife of Theseus

The ex-wife of Theseus
changes every day

she no longer likes her heir

she no longer hates her hair

Her best friend is her new worst enemy
and her favorite food her worst betrayer

her favorite dress reminds her of him
and to the trash it fell
like the trash he has become to her

What was once her home
Is now the castle of a villain
the villain who stole her children
who was once the hero that created them

The Ex-wife of theseus is not what she was
piece by piece she has rebuilt her life
She never needed him
He never wanted her
she has nothing to do with him
she is wholly his
ex-wife
