Eyes

Eyes

Standing across from him

He won't look me in the eye

But everyone else will. 

They're drilling holes with their lasers

Trying hard to trip me,

Not listening to what I say

But thinking they have the right not to believe me. 

I see me shrink smaller.

I stand on the tips of my toes,

Trying to look someone in they eye.

I can't see a single soul in the room

My mother's not there

Yet I see her eyes.

They shed a tear, 

For only she knows

But is not there to save me.

I fall, 

I shrink 

From those eyes of despise.
