The eyes of a Marine

I look into your eyes, It’s no surprise, They are full of emptiness And have the will to survive. The place we will never go. You've been there for sure, There’s no cure, for what you been through, Will all your brothers, and especially you. Your eyes shed no tears, and show no fears. They just keep on the lookout, for the dangers near. They pierce thought the distance, as well as up close They care no more, if they will become ghosts. They look right through, the things we all fear. Look at them closely, they show death inside. For the eyes that I speak of Fight for America’s pride. - See more at: http://allpoetry.com/poem/11685886-The-Death-Inside-by-C.-Nastu#sthash.XWqWTjAR.dpuf
