Eyes, Yours and Mine

Eyes, Yours and Mine

Addictions, you have none but yes,
You do have a habit- tea.
I am not habituated to tea but these days
am ever getting into an addiction- you.
Often sitting together with you
seeping a biscuit in tea unbeknownst,
I dip the evening sun into the horizon.

Facets after facets unveil as if
They were pages of a book in which
moments of memories past have made homes.
Wonder who lives in which home, for whenever
one finds them, one finds them at a different address.
The mind seems forever kept busy,
dropping them at their true right addresses.

Both have journeyed through many experiences,
many a time, there have been cracks in the emotions,
and many a time having repaired them, have waited
for new cracks to appear; so as to repeat the cycle
all over again as such, that even the cracks themselves
just leave us getting bored of this monotonic circle.
Pondering over this, often chokes up the throat.

You dry my tears with tender reassurances,
Looking at me with subtly smiling eyes,
I do not realize when you draw yourself towards me.
By the time a silky kiss drifts past caressing my lips,
often our breaths rendered speechless,
tangle like warm yarns of wool. Perhaps the reason why
our conversations these days, happens

just between your eyes and mine.
