Learn how to become an adult in your Mother's presence
Speak as woman to woman, face to face
You both have different roads you must follow 
And nobody else can take your Mother's place

Don't choose to be right, choose new battles
Clear the field, drop the weapons and crosses
And you carry all this baggage you're out of balance
And all you'll carry through each other is what you losses

Start over and set some new boundaries
Take a chance, tell the truth, speak no lies
You are given different roles for a reason
So, come face-to-face as grown women and drop the disguise
