Fade

Fade

Watching the land fade
A big piece has been mislaid
Accidently left out in the shade
Won’t someone help me?
Is this the way life’s meant to be

Watching the time go by
Chasing pictures in the sky
It would be nice to know
Why the water will never flow
Water will never run free
Hazy days of summer by the sea

The ozone lair is disappearing
Tangled up
You won’t do anything
I’ll wait for the day
When I hear you say
It’s time to realise
Open up your eyes
Reasons for destruction
Come in many a disguise
In your hands
That’s where the ozone lye’s

Industrial the wheels will always turn
Every bridge built will always burn
Imagine this as your walking down the path
You will create the aftermath
Disappearing into the distance
There is no wave of light
No resistance
No way out into the open spaces
Stop and look at all those mangled faces
Don’t be surprised if there’s nothing left at all

We should rise before we fall
