Fade

You shall never fade,
Nor crumble,
You’ll stay forever young,
Your face will be immortalised,
Before my eyes,

For I want to remember you the way you are,
A bright shining star,
A glory in the dark,
A spark that shone in the darkest of time,

At night, I feel you pulling me closer,
At night, I can still feel your heart beat next to mine,
For a moment, it feels like we are together,
For just one more time,

But no one dries my eyes,
When I wake,
No one holds me when I shake,
The very thought of you,
Helps me survive,
Keeps me alive,

Day after day,
Night after night,
The very thought of you,
Remains forever young,
Forever strong in this heart of mine,

In my heart you’ll never fade my love,
Nor die,
For I believe,
That one day two hearts will beat as one,
We’ll stand hand in hand once more,
Before the world,
Before everyone,
