FAITH HOPE AND CHARITY
He was so small poor thing skin almost transparent
thisĀ child of a userĀ shaking in shock made it apparent
Addicted to heroine on his birth-day
and now anĀ orphan, his mother the addictĀ gave him away
But this little cherubĀ was a fighter, he survived his first week
he went throughĀ withdrawal,Ā tremors fever and unable to sleep
Oh how it makes you think, a child so innocent sufferingĀ this pain
because his mother theĀ user, addictedĀ wasĀ unable to refrain
I cried and cried as IĀ read theĀ storyĀ of this little boyĀ
and then asĀ IĀ read further Ā IĀ was filled with joyĀ
He was adopted by couple who showered him with their love
three months in hospitalĀ he`d fought, with helpingĀ hand from above
Twelve months on nowĀ his first Christmas he`s to spend with familyĀ
and as IĀ read this story IĀ think of the words, faith hope and charity
Merry Christmas little one. IĀ hope Santa brings you toys galoreĀ
for you deserve to be happy,Ā loved and to sufferĀ no more...

Hi Cherie I was so emotional reading this story yesterdayĀ
really tugged at my heartstrings and just had to write itĀ
down.Some Ā of these babiesĀ don`t survive and sometimes some areĀ left
with disabilitiesĀ
Ā So glad to hear about your sister adopting their little girl and she isĀ loved
that is heartwarming in its self Ā Hopefully she will grow out of the ADHDĀ
I know a child who had ADHD he was on medication from the age of 9
hes grown now 21 a lovely young man and heĀ grewĀ out of itĀ

Ā But for three months, he grows stronger every day, and God rewards him with a pair of loving parents, who will cherish him for their whole lives. Ā Merry Christmas, Little One.
