Faith-n-Feelings-n-Life
Majestic, mesmerizing
arms upstretched toward
nourishment from above
the sturdy base
secured by roots
grounded...
- - - F A I T H - - -
Leaves susceptible
to winds of change
easily detached
supple or wilted
fragile & unpredictable
seasonal...
- - - F E E L I N G S - - -
Rings of growth
depicting its story
periods of drought
years of prosperity
resilient to storms
perseverance....
- - - L I F E - - -

Thanks, Cherie! Went to a Casting Crowns concert recently, and the lead singer mentioned how feelings can come and go but faith doesn't, and that inspired this poem. :) Always appreciate your opinion, perspective, and support!*!*!

Hey JACKI...SO glad I caught this one.......a profound staging of a poetic ballet of words........ the thought that went into this is SO VERY impressively creative......... and you didn't hold back....... just let it flow...... I only ask because you mention pinning but I don't see a pin. :) To be completely honest, I was struggling to write this one in a verse format so switched to freestyle - ha! The concept was clear on the stability of faith vs. feelings but putting it together... :) Again, thank you for the feedback & support!*!*!

Thanks, Dario! Tried this poem as verse but it wasn't coming together so switched to free style. One thing I love about poetry is the lack of rules and the individuality it allows & fosters. Appreciate the feedback...
