Fall

Apple cider, leaves changing colors

pumpkins being carved then set on porches

sun sets by six 

colder weather is moving in

goodbye beaches, swim suites, and picnics

hello football, hot chocolate, and hoodies

it doesn't get much better than this

Fall carnivals, caramel apples

kids rides, face painting 

woman knitting afghans and crafts

summer love is fading fast

as everyone heads home from summer vacations

the memories of a love lost 

will keep you warm on these chilly nights

I feel most alive

when the calendar flips from September to October

feeling the crisp air in the baseball stadiums

as the playoffs, and the World Series begins

a month of love and hate

hoping your team has what it takes

to win it all

Jumping in leaves, decorating for Halloween

getting ready for Thanksgiving and relatives flying in

so much to do in so little time

but I love doing it year after year

there is no better season

do I need to give anymore reasons 

to why I love Fall so much
