Whiskey and Perfume

I picked up the bottle tonight

but something didn't seem right

as I took my first sip

on the tip there was a scent of roses

rising up to my nose

I know I shouldn't drink

but she drove me to the brink

she was once my little Cajun Queen

but she left me, (ooh she left me)

with whiskey on my mind

and perfume in the bottle

I saw an old memory in the bubbles

mocking me for all my troubles

I thought I could have a cold one alone

but I was haunted that she was gone

with the scent of roses rising up to my nose

I know I shouldn't drink

but she drove me to the brink

she was once my little Cajun Queen

but she left me, (ooh she left me)

with whiskey on my mind

and perfume in the bottle
