Familial Dynamics

I hear you snarl about me
Accusatory rich saliva
Below an icy glare
You are rabid, I am guilt
Nothing changes your perception
I trip over your suspicion
Mining my life with traps
No redemption, no acceptance
Something out of place
An annoyance, anomaly,
Shame flesh sculpted to stone
Forever present, in your space
Judge me harshly, spit your distain
Show your teeth, frothy with rage
I will never fit your understanding
Condone your duplicitous conceit
Shuffle in avoidance
Scoff, scowl, and debase
The image you ultimately tarnish
Is the reflection you dare not face

My Dear RRG (Rebecca),
It is so nice to finally make the acquaintance of you, a very gifted poet.
Your beautiful poem hit a very soft spot in my heart, for I have been through the wringer with up and down family relationships. You will see, that most of the time, I do my responses poetically. In this case, I give you another Haiku.
Families are torn
Their hearts so vulnerable
To slings and arrows
Peace and Love,
Larry xxx
Thank you so much Larry. Your Haiku is beautiful in its directness. I love that about Haiku's.
I'm so happy my poem touched you. Families can be difficult, and from one familial associate today I heard "I've seen worse," which made me remember that yes... things can always be worse lol. I am very blessed. But the family is a ripe environment for creative expression.
Blessings fellow poet and thanks again.
Rebecca
