Family First Act

President Trump what do you say
Can you please change Bill Clinton’s law,
Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997
It needs to be changed for the sake of us all

Can you please fix broken families 
From CPS workers willing to destroy,
Coming into families’ houses like bullies
Treating each parent like a whipping boy

Disperse monies much needed elsewhere 
But not into CPS or Title IV-E,
For they serve no earthly purpose 
Only the destruction of a family 

Federal funding going everywhere 
Except where it should go,
Please help families stay together 
Instead of Foster Care overflow

Please put into law the Family First Act
As change is needed very quickly,
Tell us help is on the way fast
For this nation’s future will be sickly
