Far Side of Complacency

Far Side of Complacency

Vile hints of violence.
Dull lips breed silence.

I’m not lost.

I’m under control.

I don’t know where my mind has been.

So cruel within, I’m wearing thin.

Acetaminophen.
Tear through the line’s end.

Only vacancy.
All that they can see.

The far side of complacency.
