Fate

Fate

As I walk life’s fated path
The sword awaits firm in its grasp
Ready to strike like the sting of a wasp

Destiny unveiled sorrows deep
Hate and bitterness is all I see
Why is love buried deep?

This road with its twist and turns
Bridges to cross ~ bridges to burn
Lessons of life we have to learn

Mountains appear way to high
And yet we climb again we try
Searching truth before we die

Many lessons have I learned
Was it fate or ~ an open gate?
I closed before its time

The sorrowful years have passed
The tears have all but dried
The mistakes I made are laid to rest
The box is closed there the past lies

~~~~~~~~~~~
The hand of fate it’s never too late
To return will be your maker
Seeds you planted along the way
Made you what you are today
Let your heart pour out its blessing
Hi ANNE!!.....I can tell you put some serious thought into this piece..... implying that there have been some VERY difficult times in your past... and coming to that great point in life where the truth of who you are becomes such a powerful strength..... that realization that the path you have walked has TRULY profound value... because NO ONE has ever had the experience that you have had.... and it is THAT that makes your intrinsic energy so valuable when crossing from this life to the next...... BEAUTIFULLY formatted poetic prose.... and an excellent choice for subject matter!!......ALL STARS!!..... always a pleasure my friend!!.....LOVE & ROCKETS!!.....T xo ??✴??✴?
My Dear Anne,
In life we choose two different paths
The first, God smiles, the other, His wrath
But it's ne'er too late to make amends
For your final journey, on them depends
Hugs, Peace, and Love,
Larry xxx
So very true Larry
The wrong path I realised much too late
From one bed of pain to another
cruelty followed by more of the same
But God has also given me 4 beautiful children
and many talents for which I am thankful
For all this I am a lover of life and have never
borne resentment.
Hugs my friend x
