FATHER AND SON CORRESPONDENCE

I never learned
to speak
the language
of the harp
or hum
the melodies
of the
treasured viol
I struggle
under the weight
of the
gigantic bass
but tingle
with delight
at the sound
of the flute
until my heart
sings in symphony
with music
unknown and undreamed
while I stand
in concert hall
made grand
by universe
I take the podium
raise my baton
and ten thousand
angels play with their hearts.

I do so long to respond to your poetry
With something equally grand
It appears you wander in realmsΒ
of universes and stars,Β
Choirs of angels and galaxiesΒ
at your beck and call
I on the other handΒ
bounce from side to sideΒ
when I shake my head
Cranium bound,Β
following nueronal pathways,Β
navigating synaptical crossroads.
ThoughΒ
putting it in that lightΒ
both are grand arenas
for observerΒ
perhaps equally valuable.
As one observer to another,Β
βwell reported my friendβ

Amazing write John, I enjoy your pen immensely.
Itβs has been a fun way for my father and I to communicate.
he and I both have a hard time sleeping, hence poetry conversations. Normally no one sees them. Thought I would share this one,
thank you for reading
