Father's Day

Father's Day

Today is a day that is different,
It is a day that I am feeling sad,
And even if the world is still turning,
It's another day without my dad.

The towering strength that was him,
A presence of voice in a room,
And even though he had a good innings,
I still think he was taken too soon.

Thankyou for shaping who I am,
And for showing me wrong from right,
I hope you are proud of me,
And to my future in my sight.

I miss you as much as one can,
There is now a hole in my life,
I miss your quick wit and responses,
I miss your enduring light.
